Delivering a speech to over 200 local workers participating in the event, Ngan affirmed that the Party and State always pay attention to caring for the living conditions of laborers, particularly those who work far away from home.

Guided by this policy, trade unions at different levels have organized practical programs in support of disadvantaged workers, she said, praising efforts made by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the provincial labor federation.

On the occasion, the top legislator presented 100 gifts worth VND 1.3 million (USD 56.33) each to disadvantaged workers, while the provincial Labor Confederation handed over 110 gifts worth VND 1 million (USD 43.33) each and 150 coach tickets to the group.

The gathering runs from January 25 to 27, featuring several musical and entertainment activities. There is also a 25-stall fair selling necessities at discounted prices. The federation distributed 4,400 coupons worth VND 50,000 (USD 2.17) each to participants to buy products at these stalls.
