Students welcoming Tet far away from home
PANO - Putting aside their own happiness, needy students had to stay in Ho Chi Minh City to welcome the lunar New Year 2023 (Tet). However, thanks to the care of schools and student unions at all levels, they had a cozy and meaningful holiday in the city.
The space of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Culture House was filled with laughter and spring music as more than 1,000 students gathered together in the area celebrating Tet far away from home.

Presenting gifts to needy students |
The program aimed to take care of disadvantaged students who are studying at universities, colleges and academies in the city to celebrate Tet away from home, mostly from Khanh Hoa province or Northern and Central Highlands provinces. Among them, many from remote localities used to celebrate Tet far away from home for two years or more. There are many reasons why they chose to celebrate Tet in Ho Chi Minh City.
On the occasion of the lunar New Year 2023, the city’s Vietnam Student Association and Student Support Center also carried out many activities, such as year-end party, presenting gifts and New Year’s lucky money for 1,000 poor students, among others.

In Gia Dinh University, students joined many meaningful activities such as the Chung cake making program, art performance, folk games, to name but a few.
Students at Nguyen Tat Thanh University also gathered to receive Tet gifts and had a meeting with the school’s lecturers.

Assoc. Prof., Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Director of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City emphasized that this was an opportunity for the students to exchange with other friends, contributing to bringing a warm and memorable spring atmosphere to their life.
