The program, organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Students’ Association for five consecutive times as part of activities in celebration of the youth union congresses at all levels and the 11th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in the 2017-2022 term, aims to raise patriotism, belief, awareness and responsibility for Vietnamese students in defending the national sovereignty over seas and islands.

This year’s event will cover practical activities and attended by artists, actors, athletes and young scientists who are popular among students.

During the event, participants can join activities such as exhibition, documentary screening, and other social affairs activities, including gift offering program for wounded soldiers’ and martyrs’ families and the families of troops who are in action in Phu Quy island district, to name but a few. 

In addition, the organizers will launch two projects, including a website at phuquytravel.com.vn to introduce Phu Quy island’s specialties and a lighting system in the area around the national flag pole on the island. All activities at a cost of over VND 700 million were donated by students and enterprises nationwide.
