A contract on the construction of overpasses for pedestrians has just been signed between the Management Board of Hanoi key urban projects and the Vietnam Machinery and Erection Corporation (Lilama) and Construction and Machinery Corporation (Coma).
The contract will be divided into 2 packages with an aggregate investment of VND 350 billion to build 18 overpasses for pedestrians at busy junctions and roundabouts in the city. Earlier, the Government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) agreed that the capital source for first phase traffic infrastructure development projects in Hanoi funds for the projects.
Under the contract, Lalima will erect 10 overpasses and Coma will assume construction of the remaining eight. The construction is expected to break ground on October 10th, the Liberation Day of Hanoi.
