PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc addresses the meeting |
Speaking at the meeting, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, who is also Chairman of the council, asked agencies and sectors to stay vigilant, given the complex development of the epidemic.
Socio-economic development should go in tandem with social stability, he said, stressing this requires the involvement of the entire political system.
Lauding the quality of patriotic emulation movements, the leader said they have directly contributed to the country’s comprehensive achievements in 2019, helping to increase public trust in the Party and the State.
He emphasised the need to duplicate emulation movements, and asked localities to launch emulation activities with focus on the implementation of urgent tasks.
The leader urged the council to successfully organise the 10th National Patriotic Emulation Congress that will honour role models in patriotic emulation movements over the past five years, and launch similar drives in the 2021-2025 period.
On this occasion, Phuc applauded the active role of media agencies in promoting role models and pushing back bad deeds.
