Overview of the event

The entries reflect the country’s political events in 2019, the implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and Resolution No.04 on building and strengthening Party organizations, the fight against corruption and wastefulness as well as the fight against COVID-19, the Government's policies on socio-economic development, and foreign affairs activities in the last year.

However, the juries pointed out a number of limitations in entries to this year’s award, such as the lack of creativity and low quality of editorials, features and reportages. Another limitation is that there are few good articles, photographs and radio and TV programs reflecting cultural identities and people’s daily life.

A ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on a strategic cooperation between the Vietnam Press Museum and two media training institutions of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Academy of Journalism and Communications was also held during the event.

The deal aims to promote training and journalism activities, and promote coordination between the two sides in implementing teaching and researching cooperation programs.
