The project aimed to support people in the eight provinces of Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Kon Tum, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, and Tay Ninh. The two co-chairs of the seminar also proposed launching a new project to support Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims and people with disabilities in the provinces of Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, and Quang Ngai.

An overview of the seminar

During the seminar, discussions revolved around analyzing the objectives of the new project aiming to enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities in Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, and Quang Ngai provinces. The timeline for this project is five years. The specific goals of the project include expanding medical support and functional recovery activities, improving the health and quality of life for individuals with disabilities, enhancing support mechanisms, improving policy implementation, strengthening management capabilities, and supporting persons with disabilities at all levels.

The seminar also sought insights from governmental agencies and experts in constructing feasibility reports for the project supporting AO/dioxin victims and persons with disabilities in the provinces of Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, and Quang Ngai.

After the seminar, NACCET and USAID will perfect the feasibility report of the project based on the comments and submit it to authorized levels for prompt approval and implementation in the provinces of Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, and Quang Ngai. This endeavor aims to provide the most practical assistance to AO/dioxin victims and individuals with disabilities in the upcoming period.
