Speaking at the event, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission of Mass Mobilization Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed sympathy for AO victims and their families and hoped that they would always find faith and happiness in life.
The official reviewed that over the past years, the Party and State have issued guidelines and policies to settle consequences of AO/dioxin and support AO/dioxin victims. Activities to overcome the consequences of AO/dioxin and take care of AO/dioxin victims as well as toxic chemical-contaminated land treatment projects have been actively carried out, attracting the participation of the whole political system and people.

On behalf of Party and State leaders, Ms. Hoai acknowledged and praised party committees, authorities, agencies, organizations, businesses, benefactors, and people for their contribution to taking care of and supporting AO/dioxin victims. She expected that in the coming time domestic and international organizations and individuals would continue to accompany AO/dioxin victims to ease their pain and difficulties, the Vietnam Association of Victims of AO/Dioxin would continue to cooperate with agencies and sector to ensure that the action month for AO/dioxin victims will be effectively carried out.
At the event, participants watched a reportage highlighting the Party, State, agencies, and sectors’ care for AO/dioxin victims and the coordination and contribution of domestic and foreign agencies, organizations, and individuals to the work; had exchange with outstanding businesses, organizations, and individuals in supporting the victims; enjoyed Vietnamese and English songs in praise of Vietnam’s activeness in building peace and igniting the victims’ faith in a better future.

On this occasion, the website of the National Action Center for Toxic Chemicals and Environmental Treatment (NACCET) was also inaugurated to promptly provide information about the efforts of Vietnam and its peace-loving friends in the world in overcoming the post-war consequences of toxic chemicals on the environment and people.
