The program was supported by the Hai Duong Traffic Police Department and the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Duong province.
On this occasion, the representative of the AIA Vietnam presented 70 bicycles and gifts as well as 5 life insurance free contracts (worth VND 20 million each) to 75 needy students totaling VND 225 million.
This year, the program plans to organize 12 main events nationwide to present 1,500 bicycles to needy students throughout the country.
According to AIA Vietnam General Director Wayne Besant, through the “Journey of Life” program, poor Vietnamese students will have opportunity to continue their studies and look to their brighter future. He also hoped that other social organizations and businesses will pay more attention to poor students, who are at risk of dropping out of school due to poverty of their families.
The program was first launched in 2014 with 41 journeys and over 3,100 bicycles for poor students in 50 provinces and cities in the country.
