PANO – This year, the Month of Action for Children under the theme “Safety for children to live and develop” from May 11 to June 30 will be launched in Vinh city, Nghe An province on May 11.

In this month, the Ministry of Labour, War-invalids and Social Affairs and the Vietnam Television are to broadcast live a music programme to raise more funds to support disadvantaged children.

Moreover, construction of “Support to build kindergarten” will be inaugurated in Hai Phong city and the provinces of Hung Yen and Ha Tay.

Moreover, programmes including “Operation Smile”, “Children’s Visions”, operations for handicapped children and malnutrition prevention for children are also being sped up.

A seminar to review activities of the Month of Action for Children and work out more goals is to be organised.
