Injured foreign sailor rescued
PANO - Ship SAR 27-01 of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center took Cometa Ronald Rutor, an injured Filipino sailor, to VINMEC hospital in Khanh Hoa province for treatment on November 29.

Earlier on November 28, Cometa Ronald Rutor, 53 years old, was injured while trying to repair the engine of ship C.GLORY of Panama, which was on its voyage from the Republic of Korea to Singapore. The Filipino sailor lost a lot of blood and the ship asked the Vietnamese authority to take the injured to Nha Trang for emergency treatment.
Having received the information, relevant local agencies contacted and instructed the ship’s crew members how to provide first aid to the sailor and then sent ship SAR27-01 to take the patient to hospital.
