Addressing the event, Bui Xuan Thap, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism underlined the need to develop tourism in tandem with environmental protection.
He also called on all organizations and individuals to protect the marine environment.
Ha Tinh has 137 kilometers of coastline, spanning from Nghi Xuan district to Ky Anh town. It has numerous pristine beaches, including Thien Cam, Xuan Thanh, Xuan Hai, Thach Hai, and Ky Ninh.
The province also lies in the “heritage trail in the central region”, an important gate of the “East - West economic corridor” tourism space.
The campaign aims to promote the province’s sea tourism potentials after the environmental incident in 2016, which caused negative impacts on the living conditions of local people and the local maritime ecosystem.
