Gifts for needy students and teachers
PANO – The Hanoi Municipal Department of Education and Training and the Labor Union of the city’s educational sector launched a support program for needy students and disadvantaged teachers on April 27.
The gifts, including second-hand devices such as computers, smartphones, and ipads, were donated by individuals and groups from throughout the city.

At the ceremony, the organizers handed over 52 computers to year-12 students from nine local high schools.
Representatives of the Municipal Labor Federation handed over 125 gifts, worth VND 1 million, to local educational personnel and teachers while the Labor Union of the city’s educational sector gave each of them VND 500,000.
In addition, the Labor Union of Vietnam’s educational sector handed over VND 30 million to the Labor Union of the city’s educational sector.
The same day, Director of the Municipal Department of Education and Training Chu Xuan Dung handed over a certificate of merit to Doan Tuan Anh, a year-10 student from Van Coc High School in Phuc Tho district, to recognize his good deed. Previously, Tuan Anh returned a large amount of money to its owner.
