Injured foreign sailors taken ashore |
A day earlier, the centre received a mayday call from the vessel Chemsinyoo, which was en-route from Singapore to China. The ship’s captain asked for medical assistance and the transporting of the injured to the shore for urgent treatment.
Aboard the Chemsinyoo, which encountered an accident 99 nautical miles to the southeast off the coast of Khanh Hoa’s Nha Trang city, four crewmembers - two from China and two from Bangladesh - were seriously injured. A mechanic, an Indonesian national born in 1987, died.
Despite the bad weather, the rescue mission was a success, with COVID-19 prevention and control measures strictly conducted during the process.
