The goal is to best serve the travel needs of residents and visitors to the capital during the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Specifically, for bus routes unaffected by traffic rerouting measures for the parade, operations will follow the current schedule. On regular weekdays, about 9,269 trips will be made with 791 buses in service; on Sundays, around 9,053 trips with 771 buses will operate.
For routes affected by traffic rerouting, adjustments will include modified routes on five lines, shortened loops on 23 lines, and suspension of four lines. On the full-dress rehearsal and National Day (August 30 and September 2), five routes will be modified, 22 lines shortened, two lines will have adjusted start and end points, and three lines will be suspended.
In particular, during peak days (from August 30 to September 2), Transerco has directed all affiliated units to be fully prepared in both manpower and vehicles to promptly reinforce and ease passenger congestion at bus stations and transfer points as needed and as instructed by state management agencies. The reserve fleet is expected to include 34 additional buses, with 80 extra trips planned.
In addition, Transerco has required all its bus-operating units to strengthen vehicle maintenance and repair, conduct comprehensive inspections, refurbish and clean the fleet to ensure technical, aesthetic, and safety standards, including fire and explosion prevention, before deployment.
The corporation also emphasized stricter inspection and monitoring of service quality, compliance with operating regulations, and, above all, safety and security for passengers and vehicles.
