Excellent youths in following Uncle Ho’s teachings start festival

Addressing the event, the Dong Nai provincial Youth Union Chapter’s Secretary Nguyen Cao Cuong said that 216 participating youths, representing excellent ones in the region and Military Region 7, Army Corps 4, are live evidence of the movement “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, moral, and lifestyle”. They are new faces of today’s Vietnamese youths, set an exemplary role in surmounting hardship to achieve all assigned missions, worthy to inherit and build socialism in the country.  

The event honored 130 excellent youths in the region and saw an exchange themed “Aspiration of Vietnamese youths in the past and at present featured in Vietnamese music” with musician Tran Xuan Tien who composed the song “Eastern region’s youth”.

Later in the day, a delegation of excellent youths in the region offered incense and reported their achievements at Tran Bien Temple of Literature, toured the Buu Long tourist site and the garden of cultural celebrity statues.

In the evening, 86 youths in following Uncle Ho’s teachings were honored at a ceremony.

On May 12, the festival’s participants visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families in Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province, as part of the program “Itinerary following Uncle Ho’s footstep”; started building a nearly VND 2 billion youth structure; paid homage to General Vo Nguyen Giap at the temple dedicated to him and visited War Zone D.
