The competition was launched to help students learn how to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, and raise their awareness of the importance of protecting bears.
Via paintings on honey bears and moon bears, the participants vividly showed their knowledge on keeping personal hygiene, including washing their hands with soap, implementing social distancing, and wearing masks in public areas.
According to the contest’s organizing panel, the first prize paintings will be repainted on walls of the school’s classrooms.
After two weeks, the organizing panel received 167 entries. The jury chose two first, two second, and five consolation prizes to present to the winners. In addition, the organizing panel also handed over Mid-autumn gifts to all of the students in the school.
Since 2018, Animals Asia Foundation has rolled out many educational dissemination programs in the school to raise children’s awareness of protecting bears with the aim to enrich their love for the environment, nature and the wild life.
