Apart from workers, the initiative also aims to honor medical and volunteer forces, including youth union members and university students, who have contributed to the national efforts and initiatives to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Starting from January 24 to 28, 2022, the program will provide 270 air tickets, 1,530 coach tickets and 200 train tickets for some 2,000 workers, laborers, university students in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Dong Nai.

In addition, the program will also present Tet gifts to some 800 needy students, workers, laborers, youth union members and front-line volunteers in Hoa Binh, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate Tet holidays.

This program is expected to spread the spirit of national solidarity, family bond and unity as well as give the needy opportunity to return to their hometowns to enjoy Tet holidays with their families and welcome the new year with hope, joy and optimism.

Addressing the press conference, Bennett Neo, SABECO General Director, stressed that 2021 has been a hard and challenging year for Vietnam, businesses and people from all walks of life. However, during this period of time, the strength of willpower and the spirit of unity of the Vietnamese people sparkled.

He expressed his hope that through this program, the recipients will have a chance to return home, reunite with their family members during Tet holidays - “the most auspicious moment for all of us to come together, to embrace the spirit of unity and be stronger together.”.

For his part, Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation said that the joint organization of such a program aims to reach the recipients in a closer and more diverse manner in the spirit of “No one is left behind” and promote the tradition of the Vietnamese people that “the good leaf covers the torn ones.”

Luong added that the program also wants to spread the gratitude to COVID-19 front-line forces and workers for their sacrifice and silent dedication.

Over the past three years, Saigon Beer has organized a number of similar programs for needy workers ahead Tet.
