According to Mr. Le Lam, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the Red Journey is the largest-scale voluntary blood donation program in Vietnam which has been organized since 2013 by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion in association with other units and localities.

This year, the Red Journey was held in 46 provinces and cities throughout the country in June and July. Up to now, the organizing panel has collected more than 115,000 units of blood.

The festival of the donation program was officially held on July 29 at Thuy Loi (Water Resources) University and ran until July 30.
