Binh Duong, Ca Mau join hands in eliminating substandard houses
The Southern provinces of Binh Duong and Ca Mau co-organized a ceremony on March 21 to begin the construction and repair of four houses for poor and near-poor households in Dam Doi district of Ca Mau.
This is part of the coordination efforts between the boards for information, education and mass mobilization of the two provinces' Party Committees in implementing a campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. The move aims to support disadvantaged households in improving their living conditions.
Statistics show that Ca Mau currently has approximately 3,500 temporary and dilapidated houses, mainly in remote and coastal areas, including more than 500 houses in Dam Doi district.
Speaking at the ceremony, Bui Thanh Nhan, head of the Binh Duong provincial Party Committee's Board for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, highlighted that over the past years, Binh Duong has paid consistent attention to implementing welfare policies to better people's material and spiritual lives, especially in ethnic minority and remote areas.
He stressed the humanitarian significance of the house construction and repair in Ca Mau, which also help strengthen the close cooperation between the two localities.
