The Banks for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has allocated 25 billion VND to Muong Nhe district in the northwestern province of Dien Bien to help it ensure social security for its local people.

The sum is sourced from the 30 billion VND assistance the bank has committed to Dien Bien province for the 2011-2012 period for the building of 1,500 houses for the poor and 100 day-boarding class rooms for children.

Of the amount, more than 4.3 billion VND will go to Nam Ke commune to build houses for 332 households and ten day-boarding class rooms, each worth 100 million VND.

The bank, at the same time, has handed over 620 gifts valued at 500 million VND to households in Nam Ke commune.
