Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Government’s Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs on February 28 signed an agreement on further boosting their mutual collaboration programme in the 2014-2018 period.
Addressing the signing ceremony, VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi emphasised the agency’s attention to supplying information on ethnic affairs.
He added that VNA and the Steering Committees for the Northwestern, Central Highlands and Southwestern regions inked cooperation agreements in 2013, which creates favourable conditions for the agency to further foster its provision of information on ethnic affairs and mountainous areas.
The VNA leader also asserted the news agency is fully capable of meeting requirements on supplying information on the field in the coming time.
Under the programme, the two sides will timely and sufficiently enhance the popularisation of the Party’s policies and the State’s law on ethnic work as well as praise outstanding examples among ethnic minority groups with their excellence in learning and working.
