The construction of Vietnam’s biggest ammonium nitrate started in Thai Tho Commune, Thai Thuy District of Thai Binh Province recently by the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin).
The VND 5.8 trillion plant, covering an area of 18.64ha, will be able to produce 200,000 tons per year as well as other chemical products after 27 months of construction.
The plant will be equipped with modern technology of the German UHDA Group, meeting all Europe and Vietnam’s environmental standards.
It is expected that after operation, the plant will contribute around VND 100 billion per year to the state budget, save a large amount of foreign currencies from importing ammonium nitrate while creating stable jobs for many local people and bring about considerable socio-economic benefits.
