PANO – More than 36,000 people in Ho Chi Minh City have been provided with knowledge on national defence and security during the first half of this year.

This was announced at a conference to review the implementation of national defence and security work in the first six months of this year and map out tasks for the second half of the year held by the city People’s Committee on July 3rd.

Accordingly, the city’s Military Command has effectively suggested the committee to carry out local national defence missions, while its units seriously maintained the watch, closely monitored local situations, improved quality of training and combat readiness, and ensured social order.

Besides, they teamed with relevant agencies to seize 216 suspects of offending public order.
