An overview of the seminar

Given impacts in the new era, participants confirmed that journalists, alongside upholding their political and professional stance, must be sharp in mind, skilled and quick in information collection with verification of provided information. They must always promote responsibility, have professional ethics, undergo training and master advanced technologies to catch up with modern press trends in digital era.

Journalist Chu The Ha, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Thai Nguyen Newspaper and Secretary of the newspaper’s Journalists’ Association, said that each journalist is first and foremost a citizen, a member of society, so he must strictly observe laws, comply with professional ethics, being good at one thing, knowing many things, and progressing to being proficient in many things.

With their social responsibility, journalists should be a bridge to bring information to readers and orient them.

Senior Colonel Le Ngoc Long, the PAN’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Chairman of the PAN’s Journalists’ Association, emphasized that the more pride journalists have, the more efforts they must exert to deserve the sacrifices and dedications of generations of Vietnam’s revolutionary journalists.
