In Vietnam’s case, she said, President Ho Chi Minh demonstrated his strategic vision by founding the revolutionary press a century ago. The late leader understood the press's role not only as a means to reflect the country’s realities but also as a powerful tool to strengthen national unity and inspire the resistance wars and national construction process.
That was an extraordinary vision - one that continues to shape the country’s future, she remarked.
Recalling a memorable cultural moment, Poldi Schmidt shared the story of an ICAV member and film enthusiast who, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina, produced a documentary on Vietnam in 2001. Featuring President Ho Chi Minh, who was already familiar to Argentine audiences, the film was widely screened at cultural centers, schools, and social organizations across the country, from Buenos Aires to provinces.
