Accordingly, they visited mountainous and poor localities in Vietnam to implement practical activities, such as building houses and schools, encouraging children to keep their study, and installing solar powered lights, to name but a few.

Pham Quang Linh and his teamates hope to share difficulties with the troops.

Thanks to the support of the National Volunteer Network in the Central region and National Volunteer Center of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee, Linh’s team has agreed to support needy fishermen’s children in 4 provinces of South Central Vietnam (Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan) with VND 500,000 per month for five consecutive years. This is the first activity of the team’s program themed “For the soldiers on far-off islands,” along with many other activities towards the national sea and islands.

Presenting meaningful gifts to naval troops

After that, they visited and presented gifts to troops of the Naval Region 3 Command and some affiliated units of the command.

On the occasion, Linh and his teamates toured military units and learned more about the naval troops’ life. They also got to know the difficulties facing troops and islanders, and the team built up a plan to visit Ly Son Island in Quang Ngai province. Currently, the team and the National Volunteer Network in the Central region are preparing for their tour to Ly Son Island.

During the trip, the delegation is expected to bring necessities and some livelihood equipment to the islanders. Knowing that there are some roads which have no lights on the island, the team will present locals with light bulbs and electricity wires.

According to Do Thi Nga, Head of the National Volunteer Network in the Central region, in the time ahead, during its volunteer journey for national sea and islands, the team will offer gifts to troops and needy people, hand over national flags and life jackets to fishermen, plant trees, build schools, and inspire students, among others. These activities aim to help islanders while spreading love for the national sea and islands among people, especially youths.

“We would like to have a chance to express our thanks to troops tasked with protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands, while sharing difficulties with them,” she added.

She also noted that the volunteer network has accompanied the team for two years during its volunteer journey in Vietnam. With a common goal, they all want to express the message, “Turning patriotism into meaningful activities every day.”

For his part, Linh held that he was really happy as his small contribution to society was acknowledged and loved by everyone.

As a Youtuber, Linh, also known as Quang Linh Vlogs, has attracted people with his videos sharing life in Africa. In Angola, he did many meaningful activities to help needy locals, contributing to promoting the beautiful image of the Vietnamese people and country.
