At the museum
At the center of the museum is a picture reprinted from the world-famous photo, "Napalm Girl" by photographer Nick Ut. In addition, the museum displays many photos and paintings of famous battles in the history of the nation, including Chi Lang-Xuong Giang Battle of the Lam Son insurgents against the Ming invaders in 1427 and a map dating from 1077 depicting the battle of Nhu Nguyet.

Many war artifacts such as military equipment, weapons and shell cartridges were also showcased in the museum.

A typical war artifact in the museum is the diary of an armored truck driver under the Saigon Army. It was rescued by writer and soldier Nguyen Trong Luan, who then continued to take notes in the diary. With simple words, the diary captures the thoughts and moments in battle of two soldiers at two frontlines.

With many meaningful documents and objects, the museum is known as an educational destination for younger generations, as well as providing an opportunity for them to learn invaluable historical lessons so that they can better appreciate the value of peace.
