More than 30 reports sent to the seminar focused on clarifying the conspiracy of the French in the war of aggression against Vietnam as well as the preparation of the Vietnamese forces to counter-attack and highlighted the leadership of the Defense Ministry, the Party Central Committee, President Ho Chi Minh, and the Central Military Commission, and the Campaign Headquarters.
During the event, delegates focused on reviewing and discussing strategic location of Viet Bac base, original structures and protection measures in the base, military strategies in conducting people's war, and the combination of regular troops and local people in operations, which contributed to the victory of the campaign. The seminar pointed out valuable lessons drawn and explained the subsequent application of experiences from those lessons into education and training work at the National Defense Academy.
