A memorial service for fallen soldiers held in Nghe An   

Their remains were collected by a search team from the Nghe An provincial Military Command during the 2020-2021 dry season in different localities throughout Laos. Of the 95 sets of remains, only 9 martyrs were identified.

At the event, delegates laid wreaths and offered incense in commemoration of the fallen soldiers’ contributions and sacrifices and promised to continue carrying out gratitude activities for national contributors and policy beneficiaries and taking good care of martyrs’ cemeteries in the province.

After the memorial service, sets of remains were buried at Martyrs’ Cemetery in Nghi Loc district.

After the memorial service, 95 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors were buried at Martyrs’ Cemetery in Nghi Loc district.

Also on May 7, the Thanh Hoa provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee held a memorial service for 15 fallen soldiers whose remains were collected in Laos during the 2020-2021 dry season by a search team from the Thanh Hoa provincial Military Command.

The same day, Thua Thien-Hue province also held a memorial and burial service for 14 fallen soldiers whose sets of remains were repatriated from Laos.

All of the remains were found by Team 192 of the Thua Thien-Hue provincial Military Command in Laos’ Salavan and Sekong provinces. All sets of remains have yet to be identified.
