GS’s chief inquires after and pays tribute to former Party, State and military leaders
PANO - Chief of the General Staff (GS) of the Vietnam People’s Army, Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, on January 13, visited and offered incense to former Party, State and military leaders on the occasion of the lunar New Year 2023.

On the occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong expressed gratitude to the former leaders for their great contribution, and inquired after their relatives, hoping they would further promote the traditions and contribute to the development of the nation and military. As the lunar New Year is coming, the deputy defense minister presented gifts to the former leaders' families and wished them good health and happiness.

Visiting former leaders of the Defense Ministry, who still live, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong informed them about the task performance of units in the whole military in 2022. Accordingly, they have promoted solidarity to accomplish all assigned tasks, especially successfully organized the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022.

He also extended Tet greetings to them, and expressed his hope that they would make further contribution to the task of building the VPA.

* On the same day, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong visited the Vietnam Veterans’ Association Central Committee and congratulated them on their task performance in 2022, especially the successful organization of its seventh National Congress, affirming that they have set good examples for the young generations to follow.
The GS’s chief took the occasion to send Tet greetings to the association, hoping they will have a happy traditional holiday.
