The event aimed to raise patriotism and responsibility of the units’ youths in protecting national sovereignty, border security, national sea and islands.
Within the framework of the program, youths from Thanh Khe district and Border Squadron 2 implemented many practical activities for fishermen, including dissemination about national sovereignty over sea, islands and border, and the Law on Road Traffic; guiding fishermen on first aid skills for people in distress at sea; distributing leaflet on illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing prevention; handing over national flags and carrying out a model on providing essential medical supplies for fishermen so that they could feel secure to reach out to the sea.
On the occasion, Thanh Khe district’s youths planted trees surrounding the barracks of Border Squadron 2 to create a green environment.
The program also contributed to tightening the ties among youths, troops and people and building a firm posture of people’s hearts.
