Speaking with officers and service members on duty at sea, Major General Tran Van Xuan praised their determination and resilience in carrying out missions under harsh weather conditions far from the mainland.
He emphasized that forces working at sea serve not only as “living landmarks” affirming national sovereignty, but also as a vital source of support for fishermen, helping them confidently continue offshore operations and contribute to safeguarding the national sovereignty over sea and islands.

Major General Tran Van Xuan called on the forces to continue closely monitoring developments at sea, maintain effective patrol and control operations, strengthen legal awareness programs for fishermen, and coordinate with local authorities in combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing. These efforts, he said, would contribute to Vietnam’s push to have the European Commission’s “yellow card” warning removed.
