Vietnam Coast Guard Command extended Tet greetings to Flotilla 42
PANO - A delegation of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, led by its Political Commissar Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai, visited Flotilla 42 and inspected its combat readiness observance and preparations for the lunar New Year 2024 on January 21.
Accordingly, over the past time, Flotilla 42 has grasped and strictly implemented instructions of higher levels; closely followed situational developments at sea and in the stationed area; and regularly conducted patrols, search and rescue operations, and activities to prevent illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

Meanwhile, the unit has given timely recommendations to higher levels to deal with arising issues at sea and coordinated with local forces to prevent and combat different kinds of crimes, smuggling, trade fraud, drug crimes, and law violations.
Speaking at the working session, Lt. Gen. Bui Quoc Oai acknowledged and applauded the outcomes obtained by Flotilla 42 over the past time, requiring the unit to maintain regular operations and combat readiness posture; thoroughly grasp political situation and security in the stationed area to deal with any circumstances; effectively implement the emulation movement on building green, clean, and beautiful barracks; maintain a smooth communication system; and coordinated with local authorities to take care of policy beneficiaries and needy families, among others.
Also, troops of Flotilla 42 should raise the spirit of solidarity to overcome difficulties and shortcomings, contributing to building a comprehensively-strong, typical and exemplary unit and a strong and clean Party organization, and completing all assigned missions.
On the occasion, Lt. Gen. Bui Quoc Oai presented Tet gifts and extended Tet greetings to troops of Flotilla 42.
