During the program, representatives of the provincial Youth Union disseminated information about the history and glorious traditions of the country among local people, troops and youths, encouraging them to heighten their responsibilities to firmly protect national sovereignty over sea and islands and border security.

On the occasion, the units presented 10,000 national flags, worth VND 300 million, to residents and troops in border areas; implemented ten “Road of national flags” projects in ten villages in Hong Thai and Quang Nham communes; granted 50 scholarships, valued at VND 50 million, to ethnic and disadvantaged students.

On the same day, the province’s Youth Union inquired after troops of Nham Border Station under the provincial Border Guard Command.

The “March in border areas” program aimed to tighten the solidarity between people and troops in border areas, and on islands, as well as raise people’s awareness, especially young generations, of the protection of national sovereignty over borders, seas, and islands.
