Sinh Ton Island Infirmary saves distressed fisherman
PANO - On October 25, the Infirmary of Sinh Ton (Sin Cowe) Island under Brigade 146 of Naval Region 4 provided emergency treatment for fisherman Vo That, 54, from Tam Quan Nam Ward, Hoai Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province.
Vo That, who works on the fishing boat BD 96124 TS captained by Vo Anh Tay, 27, from the same area, suffered a stroke while fishing at sea.

The incident occurred on October 24, when the BD 96124 TS was operating near the Northern area of the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago, Khanh Hoa Province. Vo That suddenly experienced severe headaches, leg weakness, and slurred speech. His fellow crew-members administered initial first aid and quickly brought him to the Infirmary of Sinh Ton Island, where he arrived at noon on October 25.
After examination, the infirmary’s medical team diagnosed the patient with a stroke and administered emergency treatment, including oxygen therapy, blood pressure management, anticoagulants, neuroprotective medications, and anti-swelling treatments. While his condition has stabilized, doctors are closely monitoring him and will consult specialists if needed.
