Thua Thien Hue Border Guards builds house of gratitude for needy mountainous people
PANO – The Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command, in collaboration with the local authorities, began construction of a house of gratitude for the family of Ho Thi Bich Tu in Loah – Ta Vai hamlet, Dong Son commune, A Luoi district on January 10.

Tu’s family is a household of the Co Tu ethnic people, who is facing housing difficulty in Dong Son commune. Her husband has passed away and she is taking care of three little children.
The 100sq.m house, is estimated to be built at a total cost of over VND 80 million, of which VND 40 million is from the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command and the remaining from the family. In addition, the Border Station of A Dot Border Gate will donate construction material and several working days to build the house.
The activity is part of the “Border spring, heart-warming villagers” program launched by the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command.
Senior Colonel Pham Tung Lam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command, held that the activity shows the sentiment and gratitude of the border guards to the locals, and at the same time share housing difficulties with needy families and encourage them to work hard to escape from poverty and contribute to the national defense and construction cause.
