General Quyet affirmed that the Vietnam People's Army has always been the core force taking the lead in the tasks of protecting the environment, proactively adapting to climate change, and overcoming environmental problems, considering them as combat missions in peacetime. To perform this task, there should be a close coordination between the military and ministries, sectors, and local authorities in disseminating, educating and mobilizing people to join hands to protect the environment and respond to climate change.

At the seminar, delegates delivered many speeches to clarify the theme of the event, highlight the role of environmental protection, and propose solutions to reduce pollution as well as effectively respond to climate change in the military.
