SAR 273 rescues a troubled fisherman at sea
PANO – At 9:00 am on March 2, ship SAR 273 of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center successfully brought troubled fisherman To Chinh Binh ashore for further treatment, announced the center.

Earlier, Binh, a native in Lap Le commune, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong province, broke his leg as he stumbled over a wire on boat numbered HP 90596 TS while fishing about 65 nautical miles off Hai Phong city.
After receiving the information on March 1, the center instructed other fishermen on board to give the patient first aid and asked doctors in Bach Long Vy Island for support.
At 1:30 am the following day, the patient’s health worsened and he needed urgent surgery, according to island doctors. Immediately, the center sent ship SAR 273 from Hai Phong port for a rescue mission.
At 5:30 am the same day, the rescue ship approached the fishing boat and brought the patient, along with 3 doctors of Bach Long Vy Island, ashore for further treatment.
