Policy beneficiaries receive medicines

In particular, the mission provided free health check-ups, health consultation and medicines and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in the locality where Depot KV3 under the Department of Military Weapons of General Department of Technical Affairs is located.

During the program, more than 400 policy beneficiaries had their health checked by military medical personnel from the general department. Together with receiving free medicines, local people were equipped with knowledge and skills to protect themselves from diseases, avoid accidents and protect the environment.

The general department’s military medical personnel also updated local people on COVID-19 prevention and control measures in the new period.

On the occasion, the mission handed over gifts, worth VND 500,000 each to 30 policy beneficiaries in the district.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Political Commissar of the General Department of Technical Affairs Major General Nguyen Van Binh emphasized that considering taking care of those in remote areas and ethnic minority people their mission and responsibility, personnel of technical units in the whole military have done utmost to help them overcome difficulties. Practical activities have contributed to strengthening military-civilian solidarity while maintaining political stability and consolidating defense and security for socio-economic development.

Healthcare is one of the regular activities of the General Department of Technical Affairs. Since the beginning of this year, the general department has provided free health checkups and medicines to around 2,600 policy beneficiaries and needy people.

This activity was to mark the 77th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944-2021) and the 32nd anniversary of the whole people’s defense festive day (December 22, 1989-2021).
