Policy beneficiaries receive gifts
PANO – The group of two warships of Naval Region 4 of the Vietnam People’s Navy held a meeting in Vladivostok on July 24 for their crewmen, who are children of wounded and sick soldiers, on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day (July 27).
The meeting is part of the schedule of the Vietnamese warships, as they will take part in a fleet review in celebration of the 325th anniversary of the Russian Navy and will compete in the “Sea Cup” event for naval units within the framework of the 2021 International Army Games (Army Games 2021) hosted by the Russian Federation.

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Colonel Nguyen Xuan Dung, Deputy Political Chief of Naval Region 4 stressed that the whole military in general and the Naval service in particular have organized numerous activities to pay gratitude to war martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, and policy families. Having inquired after servicemen who are children of wounded and sick soldiers, the officer urged them to continue to promote their family traditions, overcome hardships and fulfill all assigned tasks, while also preparing for the fleet review in celebration of the 325th anniversary of the Russian Navy and achieving the best possible results at Army Games 2021.
On behalf of the servicemen, non-commissioned officer Captain Pham Ngoc Oanh expressed his thanks for the care of the units’ leadership and pledged to promote solidarity and practice more to achieve good results at Army Games 2021.
On the occasion, the delegation gave 16 sets of gifts to policy beneficiaries on the two warships.
