This was a meaningful activity, contributing to sharing difficulties with needy fishermen, while boosting mass mobilization work as well as military-civilian solidarity, supporting fishermen to do business at sea and firmly protecting national sea and islands.

Accordingly, three children with extreme difficulties receive support from Brigade 175 and Regiment 551 under the Naval Region 5 and Factory X55 under the Naval Engineering Department of the Naval Service. In addition to VND 500,000 per month, the students have their health ensured and are given other necessities, supporting their study and daily life until they are 18 years old.

Captain Thoan held that the noble deed aims to share difficulties with the fishermen so that they would continue to go fishing at sea while contributing to firmly safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands. He hoped that the program will be successfully conducted.

Handing over life jackets and national flags to the fishermen

During the event, Naval Region 5 and the Ca Mau provincial People’s Committee presented gifts to three fishermen households; while 60 life jackets and 200 national flags were handed to local fishermen.
