Naval troops rescue troubled trawler
PANO – Ship 202 of the Naval Region 1 Command towed a fishing boat to a port on Bach Long Vi Island, Hai Phong city at noon of March 20.
Earlier on the same day, trawler HP-90017TS with five fishermen on board, captained by Dinh Khac Khanh, a native from Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city, began leaking while fishing nine nautical miles from the island.
The captain called for help after water came into the boat.
Having received the mayday alert, the island’s Border Guard Post notified the naval region to carry out the rescue mission.
Immediately, the region assigned its ship to rush to the scene and then took the troubled boat to the island.
