Accordingly, while the region’s naval troops will conduct patrols to safeguard national sovereignty over the designated sea, they will also check fishermen’s observance of the legal fishing regulations, protect fishermen’s lives and property at sea, and encourage fishermen to fish on traditional grounds at high seas.
Addressing the event, Rear Admiral Hai asked the Naval Region 1 Command to instruct relevant units and organizations to effectively implement the program.
In addition, the command should closely work with these localities to raise coastal people’s awareness of abiding by the Vietnamese laws and foreign countries’ laws while fishing at sea, contributing to safeguarding over the country’s seas and islands.
