Naval troops help extinguish forest fire in Kien Giang province
PANO – Troops of Naval Region 5 stamped out a cajuput forest fire in Ward 4 , An Thoi townlet, Phu Quoc island district, Kien Giang province on Apr 4.
The blaze occurred at 13:15 the same day.

After receiving the information, Naval Region 5 sent three specialized vehicles and over 200 troops from its affiliated units to the scene.
Due to the hot weather, the blaze spread quickly. However, after nearly two hours, the fire was put under control, leaving about two hectares of forest destroyed.
