Naval ship rescues troubled fisherman at sea
PANO - The medical team on ship 278 from the Naval Region 2 Command successfully saved a fisherman in trouble at sea on June 21.
While on duty in the waters near the demarcation line between Vietnam and Indonesia, the naval ship received a mayday signal from trawler TG 93969 TS.

Approaching the trawler, the medical team promptly gave first aid to the fisherman, Nguyen Van Cuong, who had fainted and was dealing with a brain concussion due to a head injury he suffered while working on the trawler.
The medical team performed hemostasis and then guided other fishermen to take care of the troubled fisherman. Two hours later, the troubled fisherman was hospitalized at the medical center in Con Dao island district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province for further treatment.
