Troubled fisherman taken ashore for treatment
PANO - Ship SAR 412 of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (Vietnam MRCC) brought a fisherman to the shore of Da Nang city safely on March 23.
Fisherman Ngo Thanh Trung, aged 23, on aboard trawler QNg 98536 TS, captained by Truong Thanh Long from Pho An commune, Duc Pho district, Quang Ngai province had abdominal pain on his right side and vomited while fishing in the Southern waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago, some 140 nautical miles to the Southeast of Bong Bay Island.
After receiving the news, at 8:30 on March 22, the Vietnam MRCC sent Ship SAR 412 from Da Nang city for the rescue mission.
The rescue ship approached the trawler after a long voyage and took the troubled fisherman ashore for treatment at Da Nang General Hospital.
