During the event, the naval unit presented 25 gifts to needy fishermen and poor students with good academic results in Cam Loi ward, Cam Ranh city. The unit also took the occasion to provide free health check-ups and medicines to the locals.

The delegation offered 100 lifebuoys, 450 national flags and distributed 300 manuals named “Must-know things for fishermen” to local fishermen. The total worth of the gifts was nearly VND 100 million.

Providing free health check-ups to the locals

Addressing the event, Senior Captain Pham Van Tho, Political Commissar of Brigade 146 under the naval region, affirmed that this is the responsibility of the naval troops and the whole naval region is always willing to be present in any circumstances to support fishermen.
