Naval Region 2 sends mainland’s affection to those at sea and on islands
PANO - On January 15, the Naval Region 2 Command held a meeting with the delegations set to visit and extend Lunar New Year greetings to those on DK1 platforms, on-duty vessels, and in Con Dao Special Zone on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.

The event was chaired by Senior Captain Do Hong Duyen, Deputy Commander of the Naval Region 2 Command.
According to the plan, the Naval Region 2 Command will send two working delegations to visit, present gifts, and extend New Year greetings to those on DK1 platforms and in Con Dao Special Zone of Ho Chi Minh City; and the offshore platforms and on-duty vessels.
Participants include officials from departments and agencies of several southern provinces and cities, as well as journalists from press agencies nationwide.

At the meeting, Sr. Capt. Do Hong Duyen noted that every time the Lunar New Year approaches, people across the country send their deep and heartfelt affection to officers and soldiers performing duties at the nation’s frontiers, at sea, and on islands.
This working delegation will bring letters and Tet gifts from those on the mainland to officers and soldiers performing duties at sea and on islands. Participating reporters will convey vivid and authentic portrayals of daily life, silent sacrifices, and the firm resolve of our military and people to safeguard national maritime sovereignty.
He requested that officers and sailors of the two vessels, Truong Sa 01 and Truong Sa 19 of Naval Squadron 1 under Brigade 125, strictly comply with operational orders; pay attention to, assist, and create the best possible conditions for delegates and journalists, thereby strengthening military–civilian solidarity.
