Naval Flotilla 129 rescues distressed fishermen at sea
PANO - On May 1, Naval Flotilla 129 successfully saved two distressed fishermen at sea.
Earlier, at 9:30 on the same day, the Nui Le island Fishing Village Squad received information from Mr. Tran Hien, captain of trawler QNg-96183TS, about two fishermen who had a labor accident.

Soon after that, the staff of the squad, in coordination with troops on duty on the island, approached the trawler and brought the distressed fishermen ashore for further treatment. Accordingly, the two distressed fishermen named Nguyen Van Son (53 years old) and Vo Van Gioi (30 years old) had severe injuries.
At 15:30, the two patients were handed over to Ship 788 of Naval Flotilla 129 and brought to Phan Vinh Island, Truong Sa district, Khanh Hoa province for further treatment.
Forces on Nui Le Island also encouraged and inquired after fishermen on the trawler.
Reportedly, trawler QNg-96183TS was traveling from Ly Son district, Quang Ngai province, with 15 crew-members on board. It departed on April 21 from Ly Son port to do fishing at sea.
